Dubai any ideas?

Question

I am going to Dubai Jumeirah Beach in July for 10 days. I am going with a party of 8 a mixture of adults and children (8-15). Can anybody reccommend anything to do there? Something for all of us. We are hoping to do the jeep safari and the gold souks and wild wadi but any more recommendations

dubai museum and heritage village, u do realise how hot and humid it will be there in july dont u, 100% humidity and 40 plus degrees c.   if ur not used to it be careful, partcularly with kids.  good luck and have a great time.

All good ideas.  Definitely bring the kids to Ski Dubai - they will love it and the prices are very reasonable.  Also, look into catching a camel race.  Last time I was there the track right near Dubai was closed - I think they are going to build condos over it or something.  But I think there is another within an hour drive from Dubai - just ask around at the hotel.  This is fun to watch and great for kids too.  Camel races are usually held on Friday and Saturday mornings I think.

The desert safari is a lot of fun.  You can also camp in the desert overnight which is a good time.

Another good option (you might run out of things to do in Dubai in 10 days) is to take a road trip to Muscat in Oman.  It is about a 6 hour drive.  There are great beaches and hiking and it is a beautiful city (take a stroll through the old section).  It is much less modern city than Dubai, so you will get a totally different experience.  Also, in my opinion, the souq there is much better than those in Dubai.  There is also fantastic snorkeling / scuba diving.  Given the length of the drive you will need to spend a night or two there.

These are all great ideas for the age ranges you mentioned!

Plus the size-another idea might be to go look in the market and street vendors and stuff.

There are great things to see and do there, plus it is a beautiful place!

Dubai has many treats with Jumeirah Beach itself sure to keep the gang entertained. Some of the sublime hotels in Dubai are attractions themselves, particularly The Burj Al Arab hotel. Dubai is also where you can go skiing in a shopping mall believe it or not. Also note that the cinemas in the malls show films in English which may suit to escape the heat for a few hours.
