i will not pay for rent and mortgage cause i own a house. I know Dublin is very expensive so i was thinking that probably my wage was not enough to lead a decent life.

Will i find it hard to live on such a wage?

also i will not consider driving so i will use public transport.

  1. Considering you don't pay rent or have a mortgage, I'd say yes, you should be fine. Rent/mortgage would often take up around 500 euro, depending on location and so on. Your main expenditure then will be food, bills, travel and then your social life.

I live in Dublin, and spend around 350 per month on food (although that's just for myself, nobody else, and I'm sure it's possible to spend less, although I like to splash out a bit). Bills can be tough - I live with 2 others and spend around 75 euro on average for gas and electricity per month, just to give you an idea.

Travel - Dublin Bus will cost you around 1-1.50 euro per day one way, depending on where you live and where you work, so about 2-3 euro return, although there are options available to buy Rambler tickets and so on. Have a look a their website for more. I don;t know anything about the rates on the Luas or DART I'm afraid.

After that, it's your call as to how often you'll go for a drink, eat at a restaurant, and so on. Good luck, I think you'll be just fine.
