Dublin to London?

What is the easiest and cheapest way to get from Dublin to London? Preferably cheapest... ?

British Airways, BMI, and Aer Lingus all have very frequent flights between the two, though the price depends on when you're going. (At the beginning of May, for example, the cheapest flight is about USD150 -- or 110 Euros -- for a return.)

You could also check out no-frills budget airline Ryanair, where prices are often rock-bottom, although you sacrifice the amount of baggage you're allowed to bring on (and often have to pay heftily if you go over the weight limit), and might find yourself having to get to out-of-the-way airports at funny times. (British Airways, BMI, and Aer Lingus mostly depart from London Gatwick, whereas it's very likely you could be flying into Luton or Stansted if you take Ryanair -- not a huge deal, but sometimes harder to get to and from.)

The flight is about an hour and twenty minutes, but if you've got a little more time to work with, you could take a bus (with a ferry service) from Dublin to London's Victoria Station with Eurolines. It would be much cheaper (at 17.5 Euros one way or 35 Euros return -- USD$23 or USD$48), but would take somewhere between 12 and 14 hours. You could also go by train (and ferry), which is a bit more expensive (around 35 Euros each way, or USD$48) but quicker, at somewhere between 8 and 10 hours, depending on the train you choose. (It's also less expensive than flying!) I've included some helpful links below. The scenery would be pretty from the train -- and the ferry might be fun! -- but you certainly save a whole lot of time if you fly.

if you get a good deal on the ryanair website you could fly Dublin to London return for less than 40€.

Both do charge a fee per bag you plan to carry at booking time. If you show up with an extra bag, you pay more for it.

Ryanair.com is the cheapest, but it flies to Stanstead which is a 10 pound train ride form London, whereas Heathrow is on the tube line and Gatwick a shorter and cheaper train ride.

Also, you need loads of notice to get the cheap price

Would not recommend the train/bus and ferry as you will spend it all on food during the trip, and it may not be cheaper anyway.

boat and train...  and could be more costly than a flight, also very long .but you may be able to pick up a really cheap flight if you search the web either way  this time of year may be dear. try ryanair they may have cheap flights if you dont mind having your legs all cramped on their extra small seats, and watch the bag fees....

What part of England?if Liverpool try boat .Ryan air do cheap flights but they leave  you a long way from city's.
