Ducati service? The clutch locks up?

I put a deposit on a '03 Monster 620ie. I told a guy I work with this and he said, well, the service is going to kill you because their clutches "lock up". I've never heard this before, what the h**l is he talking about?

First mod is going to be an exposed clutch basket cover! BRACKA BRACKA BRACKA BRACKA BRACKA BRACKA BRACKA

I have had two ducatis and have never heard of this and my suggestion would be to get a slipper clutch at some point to go with your open clutch basket cover.

You never heard of it because it doesn't happen. If for some reason it ever did, all you would do is bump it. Put it in gear, pull in the lever, geve the bike a shove. Your friend is a dufus know it all.
