Duchess Dora tipped to win Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Conditions Stakes
Duchess Dora has been given the best odds for the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Conditions Stakes at Chester in England on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. The winner of the class-3 race will be awarded a cash prize of £9,057.
The going will be soft in the 5 furlong 16 yard event, which is scheduled to start at 16:15 GMT. Following entries have been confirmed for the race: Addictive Dream, Noble Storm, Duchess Dora, Nosedive, Borderlescott, Shoshoni Wind, Bubbly Ballerina, Red
Roar and Smirfys Emerald.
Apart from the above mentioned runners, Dinkum Diamond and Bertoliver were also lined up for action at Chester, but their participation is doubtful now. Both were pretty much experienced runners and could have challenged the rest of the pack for victory.
At the moment, it seems that Duchess Dora will walk away with a comfortable victory in the race, as she is in very good form. She has got a lot of experience, thus the bettors are also expected to risk the maximum number of bets in her favour.
The five-year-old mare has participated in 27 events until now, winning six of them and finishing runner up on three occasions. Moreover, she has also ended up third in five races, which shows that she consistently fights for the top positions.
The John Quinn’s trainee was unable to make an impression in her most recent race, as she ended up 10th in it. She was not the favourite to win that event, but was still expected to challenger her opponents for the top three positions.
However, Duchess Dora has a chance to regain form and get back to winning ways. She will be ridden by Tom Queally, who is a veteran jockey, but has not won consistently, due to which his strike rate is on the lower side.
Noble Storm might also manage to make a solid impression in the race. He has won eight races out of 28 attempts and his recent form has also been good. He will be ridden by seasoned jockey, Graham Gibbons, who has won quite a few races at this level.
Other than the top two favourites, Addictive Dream is a quality runner and has the ability to fight for victory at Chester.
