Duchess of Cornwall changes her mind?

The Duchess will not be attending the Memorial to Princess Diana according to breaking news.Wise decision?

She's made a good choice, I think. While she is probably within her rights to go, it would be a little tasteless and would certainly give the media something to stir up trouble about.

This way, nothing can be said and the young princes will not have more horrible headlines about their parents' private lives to deal with.

Personally, I was never a great fan but as time goes by it seems to me she is actually a sensible sort of woman, and puts the feelings of the sons ahead of her own.

She is growing in my estimation for this, very tactful, decision.  She is turning into quite a likeable lady.

It was public knowledge that the two Princes requested that she be there, so that's their conscience salved.

However, I agree with one of the other answers that I don't really think that Diana would have wanted her there.  She was, afterall, very instrumental in the break up of Charles's marriage to Diana.

I wonder what pressure from the Spencer family was brought to bear on her to make this decision?   We'll never know!

i couldn't see why she HAD to be there other than to rub the Spencer noses in it!

I think she has made a very wise decision.

Many members of the public cannot forgive her for the way she & Charles treated Diana throughout her entire marriage & so would feel offended by Camilla attending the Memorial.

I doubt she wanted to go anyway because of all the coverage but felt she should as the boys had asked her to go. Either way she probably can't win with the media.

I cant help but feel that Charlie and Camilla don't belong in the 21`st century.....they belong in some bygone age.
