  1. yes you still have hope.  We never candle our eggs until 10-14  days.  We start by looking for blood veins forming.  The further into incubation the more you can see.  We have even see the bills moving inside the egg later in the hatching process.  We have bought hatching eggs off auction sites many times and always had great hatch rates.  You might already know but the incubation time is 28 days on duck eggs. your incubator temp should be at 99.5 degrees. If your incubator doesn't have a turner you should turn the eggs everyday until day 25 then you can stop turning them.  The humidity in the incubator should be 84-86 (we normally don't worry about this and have been lucky so far)  Try not to 'help' the ducks out of the shell when you see they are starting to break the egg open, most of the time they can make it out on their own, but if you help them use extreme care they will have what was left of their food source attached to them and if you separate it or make it bleed the bird will die.(this will be by their bottom)  You do sometimes have to help if they can't get out their feet will end up curled this is normally not an issue and they come out of it.

Good luck and just wait awhile longer. ( when buying eggs for hatching it is good if you see dirt on them, you don't want an egg that has been cleaned, wiped off yes but not washed)
