I have 2 chickens. One is my baby and is 1.5 yrs old and follows me and is so sweet. The other i am getting rid of it because its runs away and isnt very social. A guy is taking it to his farm. Anyway I found an ad and there was a lady selling a 3 day old duckling. I resonded and she called me and said she lived only 30 minutes away. So tommorrow I will get it.

1.) Should it bond with me since its so young?

2.) Should I separate it from my chicken?

When its old enuff I will let it free range in my yard in a fenced in area or, should It be introduced to my hen?

3.) How long should I heep it inside?

4.) Do you think TatorTot is a good name?

I owned many befor, but I dont know how much monger to keep it in, I want it to be frioendly and stuff.

  1. i have many chickens and ducks and the ones that were born at the same time and that were together since then get very well along.

    1. it should bond with you because i will basically be its mother

    2. theres no reason to separate it unless the chicken harms it but they probably will get along

it can be in the yard fenced in and wont leave as long as it loves you and you bond with it alot...n yea inroduce it to your hen im sure it will be ok

    3. it can stay inside as long as you want it to just let it out to do its business and to eat grass and have fresh air...

    4. TatorTot is a very cute name  :]
