Question

my friend is gettin me a duckling for my brithday cuz i like ducks wat do i do to take care of it and wat type of housing would be best suited for it

it would be best to get two of them.

housing... (once it&#039;s older) your going to want something to lock it in at night, like a shed. Racoons and Possums will try to eat it. And even if you just get like a chain-link dog fence they can still dig under it. During the day it should be fine but while its young you have to watch for hawks cuz they&#039;ll eat it. I used to keep my baby ducks in one of those little plastic kiddie pools. That way it was easy to clean and gave them enough room to run around. They learn to jump out of it quickly though.

don&#039;t feed them bread. it&#039;s not good for them and if they don&#039;t have enough water to drink with it, it can kill them. your also going to need a source of heat for it while its young. heat lamps work the best, just make sure it doesnt get too hot. its also a good idea to give it something to sleep with, like an old stuffed animal or a feather duster with real feathers. Your going to end up probably throwing it away though because it will get nasty.
