Ducklings and Chicks?

I am planing on getting baby chicks or ducklings I want to know......

which one is an better indoor and outdoor pet.?

which one is more easy to handle?

which one is more loveable around humans?

and how many ducklings or chicks should I get at a time I was thinking 4...............

also I studied alot about both but is their something else I need to know????

Also is their any thing else I can feed them besides chick starter or gamebird starter/waterfowl starter

and anything else I need to know???

  1. 1-  Ducks are messier then chickens.  They spill their water water EVERYWHERE and their p**p is WAY nastier then chickens.  I'm not sure why.

    2-Smaller chickens are easier to handle.  Get bantams.  They are smaller and eat less food.

    3-DUCKLINGS!!!  They totally imprint on you.  My sister had a duckling she hatched in an incubator and it followed her everwhere.  He totally rocks!  Chickens could care less about you.

    4-At least three.  Four seems good.

    Don't feed ducklings medicated chick starter!  It kills them!  They eat more then chicks at a time, so they overdose.  I'm not kidding.

    No.  Start feeding them chick/gamebird starter.  Also, oyster shells are great for calcium.  They can also snack on cracked corn once they get older.  (It's cheaper)
