  1. If you have unsalted sunflower seeds without the shell putt that in a dish and leave on the floor with clean drinking water in a separate bowl. I'd recommend taking them in the house until tomorrow a cat or something else could get them. If their Mom isn't back you can either keep them or hand them over to a wild life shelter. Ducklings are pretty low maintenance.

For housing you might want to set up a cardboard box lined with some old towels and if you have heater fan leave it in the room with them on low with the door closed in a room away from pets and anyone else that might try to mess with them.

Keep in mind if their young they'll imprint your voice & everything else. They might even try to follow you around the house!

    Hope this helps

  2. where is mum?

chances are she is nearby . .  just hiding . . probably with more ducklings because 2 is a very small number . .  normally there are at least 8 . .

what i would do for about 2 hours is place the ducklings in a cardboard box with towels etc and let them cheep cheep and hopefully mum will answer their  cries if she come then you can just let them out back to mum!

If however she doesn't come back you have two options

    (a) take care of them yourself

    (b) call a wildlife hospital (which is by far the best option)

if you decide to take care of them yourself . . .

They will need to be fed chick-crumbs (go to a local feed store)

NOT bread. .  however for the first few days if you can't get to a feed store scrambled egg will do

also do NOT give them lots of water a very shallow saucer will suffice .. you don't want them getting wet and becoming hypodermic. .  and/or drowning

They must be kept WARM or you will wind up with 2 dead ducklings. .

a hot water bottle or an infra red lamp will do =)

But the best option is to ring a wildlife hospital ASAP

  3. put a little water in a jar lid and tear up little bits of bread and put them in the water.

  4. That's so cute!  I have raised ducklings before in the past.  They eat grass, milk, corn or dry cracked corn, bread, small bird seed. Leave a small pan of water out for them to wade in but obviously there is some type of enviromental element in your area that has attracted them to your home.Cool thing about these ducklings as they return from migrating as adults you will likely end up with some big ducks on your front porch next time : ) good luck mom!
