Dude Alert chasing maiden victory in Betfred Mobile Lotto Claiming Stakes
Dude Alert has got a very good opportunity of winning his first ever race by claiming the Betfred Mobile Lotto Claiming Stakes at Lingfield in England on Wednesday, November 21, 2012. He will have to deal with five other decent runners though and things
will not be easy for him at the end of the day.
The weather has been good for racing over the past couple of days, but that could change before the start of action today, as showers are forecasted at Lingfield. The organisers will be hoping that things remain under control, so that the spectators can
enjoy a clean competition.
At the moment, the going has been described as standard, which will be a good sign for all the participants. If the rain does not arrive at Lingfield, they will get a chance of going all out in the 7 furlong contest, scheduled to start at 12:00 GMT.
The class-6 event does not have a big prize money, as the winner will only get £1,704 at the end of the day. However, it will still be important for all the runners to be competitive, as they will be fighting for their pride other than anything else.
Looking at the records of all the runners, the punters might opt to place the maximum number of bets in favour of Majestic Jess, who has been performing pretty decently in recent times.
The young colt does not have a lot of experience, but that will not make a big difference, as he is fully capable of handling pressure in the race. He is carrying a decent momentum right now and will cause a lot of problems for his rivals.
On the other hand, Dude Alert cannot be taken lightly at all, as he too is equally capable of winning this contest. He has appeared in just a couple of events until now, but is yet to tastes success at this level.
Despite that, the Peter Chapple-Hyam’s trained colt will be confident of producing a special effort today. He finished third in his first ever race and secured the fourth spot next time around.
However, he will look to break the shackles under veteran jockey, Silvestre De Sousa, at Lingfield.
