  1. It is #9 on the top100 most popular girls names, according to the Social Security Administration. It is pretty though. I love the middle name! Here is the website in case you want to check out the popularity of other choices, plus another cool site (my fav), that shows you the popularity of a name throughout the years on a graph...

  2. i dont think it matters about the popularity if you like the name. personally i dont like hannah because it sounds like a little girl name for your daughters whole life. but i dont think that you should choose another name if you love the name hannah.

    i hope i helped!

    good luck:]

  3. Think Hannah Montana ....

    How about Rachel Elise

  4. Instead of Hannah Montana name her Hannah Vermont

  5. Hannah is a very popular name these days, But Elise isn't.

  6. yes

  7. It's popular, but not too many people have that name

  8. i love it! very very pretty! stick with it..it's not too overpopulated

  9. Its not that popular but i think it is so freaking adorable you should stick with it.  good luck and best wishes!

  10. I just don't like it. It sounds like a perfect name for a five year old little girl with blonde hair, blue eyes, freckles, and pigtails, but for a sixteen year old girl trying to be seen as an adult, it's just a burden. I like Anna though.

  11. No, I don't think its too popular and I really like your choice of Hannah Elise.  Congrats!

  12. Hannah was quite popular a few years back but now seems to be less and less. Depends where you live. If Hannah is your favorite name and you love that name, do not let popularity dictate your choice. You might choose another name less common and then regret it or you might pick a name you think is uncommon and then realize 5 years later that the name you chose was also chosen by 10 other parents in your child's school. I say always choose a name you truly love. No matter what. Hannah is a classic and has been for years. It is never going to be one of those trendy names that are only popular a short time. Hannah is a true classic like Elizabeth and will never be a popular trendy name like Kaylee and  Nevaeh. You can always give Hannah a less common name and if later on you decide or she decides Hannah is too common, she can go by her middle name.  I personally like the name. If it is the name you like above all, then by all means call your baby daughter Hannah. Best to you and your baby,

  13. Well. I think so, but if that is what you want to name your baby! Then name your baby Hannah. If you are dead set on the name try spelling it differently. =]]

  14. Hannah is quite popular.  I love Elise though!

A Gr8 book for names is

  15. I love the name Hannah.  I personally feel it is too popular for me to want to use it, though.  It has been in the top 10 girls' names since 1995.  Whether that makes it too common for *you* to want to use it is completely up to you.  Because you're second-guessing your choice based on its popularity, that makes me think its popularity might bother you, so I am going to suggest some other options.  Feel free to take them or leave them.

My favorite Hannah-alternative is Susannah/Susanna.  It's a biblical name (like Hannah) and it has a similar old-fashioned vibe.  Hannah and Susannah share the last six letters, but while Hannah is currently ranked #9, Susannah and Susanna don't even make it into the top 1000!  (The Spanish spelling, Susana, is ranked #993, so it just barely makes it.)

Since you were thinking of using Elise as the middle name, perhaps you would consider using it as the first name instead.  (I love Elise in either spot.)  You might also consider Elisa or Eliza, since they have the "uh" ending of Hannah.

If you like two-syllable "uh"-ending names (like Hannah and Emma), you might consider these less-common choices:

    Clara

    Willa

    Moira

    Elsa

    Lilah

    Cora

    Nora

    Mira

If you like biblical girls' names, here are a few that are less common:

    Miriam

    Lydia

    Adah

    Leah

    Eve

    Mara

    Naomi

If you like the "ann" sound in the name, you might want to try:

    Anne

    Anya

    Anneliese/Annalise

    Annabelle

Good luck, and I hope this helps!

  16. I LOVE THAT NAME IT IS BEAUTIFUL

  17. extremely popular how about

    Hali Elise

    or Hayden Elise

    Hope this helps!

  18. I think it's a pretty name....It's not too popular.  No more than Kelly or Brooke or anything like that.  I named my daughter Savannah Marie.  If you like the name hannah then go for it....it's your child....what other people think doesnt matter

    GOD bless!

  19. Yes, it is popular, but I don't think it is too popular that you should not name her that.  (Hannah Elise is such a cute name, by the way!)  But, you may get some Hannah Montana references by naming her that!

  20. I am a teacher--it IS quite popular, but not as popular as Emily.

I like the name you have chosen.

If you are worried about it being too common, you could choose the inverse: Elise Hanna. Elise is a very beautiful, and not so common, name.

  21. It's popular but it's beautiful. Hannah Elise is a lovely name, therefore I think you should stick with it. Your daughter should have a name of something that you love :) Don't worry about popularity! I'm sure her personality will shine.

  22. Love the name. My daugher is Madeline Elise. I love the name Hannah! Doesn't matter if it's popular, and I honestly know personally 1 girl named Hannah and she's 20 years old. I say go for it,it's gorgeous!
