  1. Right on brother!  And I'm not going to use the chinese 5-spice seasoning on my chicken drumsticks tonight.

  2. No.

  3. Wow, I bet the Tibetans are besides themselves knowing the Western world are willing to make such sacrifices on their behalf's.

If only there were more people like you around.

  4. As someone else pointed out, choy suey was invented in USA and not eating it means absolutely nothing to the mainland Chinese in China. Well, eating it also means nothing to them.

You could show your fervour by consumption of Tibetan food. But personally I'm no fan of yak products and tsampa (barley flour in tea with fermented yak butter). Now that's a real sacrifice :)

  5. Good idea.  I like a man with principles.

  6. How about buying NOTHING made in China (just about everything)

Those noddles you are not eating are most likely made in the USA

  7. Sure,No problem.

  8. Chop suey is American. China doesn't even offer that dish. Nah. Yer on yer own. Empty gestures don't do much. Write your congressman.

  9. Then instead of eating Chinese food you can eat Tibetan food, but it is more expensive.

  10. You stick to your guns.......as for me its a indian take-away....not the usual chinky........why should my stomuch benefit the slant-eyed oppressers

  11. What about Sweet & Sour?

  12. I wish that would help, but China is so big and we are so small that they wouldn't even notice.  Now, if we were able to boycott all Chinese things, food, etc. for even one month, possibly they would get the message.

Sadly, the Olympic committee did no one any favors by letting China have the Olympics this year, so China thinks they can do what they want and get rewarded. We buy from them, we borrow money from them for the Iraq war, and we turn our heads at their inhuman treatment of others.  Why would they change, when they have everyone believing they are too powerful. Eventually, they WILL be the #1 country, and how sad is that.

I join you in spirit, but I don't eat chop suey noodles, etc anyway.  But I'll be with you in thought.  Pick a day...an hour, and I will join everyone else.
