The Ex vice president of US. Mr Al Gore made a film The inconvenient truth which tells that till the end of 2012, this planet will be submerged in water. the glaciers r melting fast. North and south pole are changing fast and snow is melting. this is a fact. what are u doing to face this situation? slowly we r approaching towards death, how can we save ourselves?

rapid&drastic afforestration through out the country can only save us.

financing for purchase of vehicles by the banks must be stopped.

industrialiation must be restricted.

importance must be given to agriculture sector.

farmers should be allowed to fell trees in their own field so that they will not be inclined to smuggle trees from the forest.

people's participation &sincierity of the govt.are most important.

hey well i think we need to change our consumption patterns...every1's adressing the issue of better environmentally friendly materials so that we can increase consumption or susutain the current level but thats not possible...what we actually need is to reduce consumption..no need to live like cave men but realise that the whole wrold cannot sustain the current trends of high lifestyle...so do whatever little you can....and the 1st world countries need to take the first step since they are the biggest polluters...dont know if we're gonna be floating by 2012 but that shoudnt be the criteria for taking action...u have to save the earth not because al gore says so but because thats what the earth needs....n usa should stop exploiting so many other countries in the name of development and then start talking bout saving the earth n advicing other countries....so i think we all need to look into ourselves n notice where we are going wrong n what better things we can do....like they say "charity begins at home!"

Everyone wants a clean earth. When people hear other people say that humans are destroying the earth, they naturally are concerned and want to do something about it. Al Gore, David DeRothschild, David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, and the other powerful elites around the world are aware of our human nature, and they exploit it - for financial gain, but mainly for power. They already have all of the money in the world and shares in the corportion that prints the money (Imagine if you could print your own money!).

They are proponents of world government - a world government in which they are in charge. They are using global warming to push their agenda on us - and if you aren't naive enough to go along with it, you are ridiculed and silenced.

I am glad to see that some people aren't taking the bait, despite the pressure and constant propaganda.

Have you noticed that the establishment has really beefed up the climate change propaganda, or "mass persuasion campaign" (sounds like brainwashing to me)?

These people are brainwashing a whole new generation of Americans in the public schools. They are teaching our children to be good little slaves, and by pandering to the lowest common denominator, dumbing them down (probably enough to make them oblivious to the fact that Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn are NOT closer to the Sun). The schools are constantly searching them and treating them like prisoners. My nephew, 6 years old, committed a though crime the other day (he said that something was "g*y") and was sent to the principal's office. If you have children in public school, GET THEM OUT NOW!

Have you noticed that it takes two middle-class workers to support a family now, whereas it used to only take one? They use the media to manipulate society. "Ms. Magazine" was bankrolled by the CIA and the Rockefeller foundation, among others. The Council on Foreign Relations is made up of powerful and influential men and women, and they use their influence to push their agenda. Most of the Presidential candidates were CFR members - and the only ones who were considered viable and given any attention by the mainstream media were the CFR members. Of course, now we are down to Hillary, Obama, and McCain, all of whom are CFR members.

They will soon try to convince us that we need to have our medical history in a microchip implanted in us. They have already started the propaganda. What do you think all of this talk about government-run health care is about? They want to take control of health care...and then, perhaps 10 years down the road, in order to get the health care, you will need to have your medical history implanted (it will just make things so much more convenient when the hospitals are flooded with people and half of them don't speak english!). This is just a theory of mine - they will get their way eventually, one way or another.

First and foremost quit listening to alarmists. the whole global warming thing is a hoax. the earth is and has been going through climate trends both up and down since it's creation. i heard recently on the news that the polar ice caps refroze this winter. I find it peculiar that global warming loses it's popularity as a topic during the winter months.I keep hearing people talk about 2012 as a year that something will happen but as with y2k it will most likely be a hoax. Again quit listening to alarmists just think of how much money mr gore made from perpetrating his hoax. as you know that hardly 20 to 30 % of the popullation on the earth is aware of the global warming and its ill and severe effects on mankind  I as a human being is trying to create awareness among all the peoples i know and also giving the tips to reduce it . I don't think it will happen in 2012. Maybe a little bit later, like 2050. But yeah, maybe in our lifetimes. I will keep trying to change the USA's stubborn lifestyle and politics so that we could save something. But if it's useless, and we are submerged in water, I would live on the Himalayas. No no no. It isn't global warming that will kill us in 2012, it's our lining up with the galactic center along the galactic plane. All the extra gamma radiation will kill us. Or that rogue planet will come in and hit us. I'm not sure which the Mayans were predicting with their calendar. Global warming will eventually destroy the Earth, when the sun goes nova and consumes us, a few billion years from now. If all the ice on Earth melted sea level wouldn't rise nearly enough to cover all the land, that's only a Hollywood fantasy. And the ice pack at the south pole, called Antarctica, is actually growing and it's getting colder there. Whether the ice we gained in the Arctic over the past year lasts or not isn't known yet, but there is no reason to panic. If you live near Ted Turner you may want to move since he's already indicated cannibalism will be common if food gets scarce.

LONDON: Researchers studying long-term changes in sea temperatures have suggested that there may be a "lull" in global warming due to natural variations in the climate.

"The UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) would predict a 0.3C warming over the next decade. Our prediction is that there will be no warming until 2015 but it will pick up after that," said Noel Keenlyside of the Leibniz Institute of Marine Sciences, Kiel, Germany.

Scientists now expect a "lull" for up to a decade while natural variations in climate cancel out the increases caused by man-made greenhouse gas emissions.

Keenlyside, however, stressed that the analysis was just the initial findings of how the oceans behave over decades and it would be wholly misleading to conclude that global warming, in the sense of the enhanced greenhouse effect from increased carbon emissions, had ended.

According to a paper published in the journal Nature , it would mean that the 0.3C global average temperature rise, which has been predicted for the next decade by the IPCC, may not happen.

However, the effect of rising fossil fuel emissions will mean that warming will accelerate again after 2015 when natural trends in the oceans veer back towards warming, according to the computer model.

The IPCC currently does not include in its models actual records of such events as the strength of the Gulf Stream and the El Nino cyclical warming event in the Pacific, which are known to have been behind the warmest year ever recorded in 1998.

"Our results suggest that global surface temperature may not increase over the next decade, as natural climate variations in the North Atlantic and tropical Pacific temporarily offset the projected anthropogenic [manmade] warming," the Daily Telegraph of Britain quoted scientists as saying in the journal.
