  1. Are you kidding me? do you honestly think increasing the size of oceans will affect the super powerful gravity of the planet causing enough of a tilt  or change the speed of rotation to cause ruination? I doubt that very much.

    RRRR

  2. Interesting question.

In global warming sea level rises due to ice melting from the arctic and Antarctic zones. The cold water from the icy regions will effect the overall temperature of the sea , cause disruption in weather patterns . But can it effect the cg of the earth ? or the axis of rotation ?  i don't think so.

  3. The world has been covered in ice and has had sea levels much higher than they are now over and over again throughout the history of the earth.

If that didn't do it, the relatively small effect that humans could have on sea levels isn't going to do it either.

  4. i dont think it will..the world has had this happen several times in its history.

  5. no but there is a chance of happening so we cant say anything about nature

if nature thinks one day is enough

    for demolishing the earth

  6. I want some of whatever you are smoking dude!

  7. No It wont affect the earth center of gravity and the earths axis of rotoation but the earth quake can affect both. IF sea level raises all the Low lying areas like Tamilnadus coastal area in India everything will go Beneath the water and nothing will be above the water the water quantity will be increased and the pure water quantity is reduced.

  8. Well I have done some research on this one. Read on this is very important actually for all of us.

Your question is very valid. Since the weather is a result of the ocean currents. All know that that ocean current is dependent on the balance of salinity which is the amount of salt present in sea water.

Due to global warming lot of fresh water is dumped into the sea. We measure the salinity of water, we look at how much dissolved salt is in the water, or the concentration of salt in the water. Concentration is the amount (by weight) of salt in water and can be expressed in parts per million (ppm). Here are the classes of water:

    •     Fresh water - less than 1,000 ppm

    •     Slightly saline water - From 1,000 ppm to 3,000 ppm

    •     Moderately saline water - From 3,000 ppm to 10,000 ppm

    •     Highly saline water - From 10,000 ppm to 35,000 ppm

Ocean water has a salinity that is approximately 35,000 ppm. That's the same as saying ocean water is about 3.5% salt. Sometimes, salinity is measured in different units. Another common unit is the psu (practical salinity units). Ocean water has a salinity of approximately 35 psu.

By this I mean that once the salt level in water has dropped from 35,000 PPM to approx 10,000 PPm over a period of two hrs as confirmed from the Times of India then we are looking at a higher risk factor.

Hence you look at a climate shift since we know that salt water is heaver than plain water and the ocean current would soon become slower and would result in a climate shift. The polarity does not depend on the climate. It is depends on the rotation of the Earths core. I don’t think we should have a problem there.

Guys Stay with a clean atmosphere

  9. Perhaps...but only very slightly, and only if a significant amount of polar ice melts.

Compared with the great mass of the entire Earth, the mass of the thin surface area is nearly insignificant. Though changes in the distribution of the mass of Earth’s surface could have a small effect; it is thought that plate tectonic and the mountain building/erosion does play some role in the tilt of Earth’s axis and the rotation around the sun.

  10. no the  rise  in  sea  levels  wont  probably  affect  the  earths  axis  i  think

  11. That's an interesting question. Hundreds of million year old ice caps are melting at a rate that will make them melted away in about 10-15. No more polar bears or penguins will be left except at Sea World.

  12. you believe in that Mr. Gore c**p, really

  13. Hi,Answer to your question can be found in this link.

Please go through it's heartbreaking to see what's happening to our global.

    Thank you.

I request everyone to have a look and study what is in this site, eventhough you are aware of global warming.

  14. I don’t know exactly, but I think it will not change, bcoz from ice age to present date i don’t think thr is any change in center of gravity or it has effected axis of ration, bcoz thousands of years ago some civilization made solar calendars shows that days and nights and seasons were same.

  15. No. It's not like it is adding weight from outside the earth. It is already here (whether in ice or water - it doesn't really matter). Internal movement (like lava expansion or earthquakes) can - the tsunami in the Indian Ocean did move the axis of the earth - but so little that it caused no major problems.
