Due to have my period in 4 days too soon for a blood test?

on the 26th of july i had light spotting that lasted for 2-3 days, that i think could of been implantation bleeding.

i have taken home pregnancy tests but they have all been negative.

my b***s have been really sore, and I know that seeing as my period is due soon it could be that but they have been sore since the 26th when the bleeding happened.

is it too soon to get an acurate result from a blood test?

  1. a blood test is accurate from about day 21 I believe, but definitely before your missed period. However, by the time you get the test done and actually get the results you could have just waited a few more days for your period to be due and done the home test. So my answer is no it is not too early at all for an accurate blood test result, but I would say to hold off for a few days and do the urine test at home first. If that is negative and you STILL don't get your period in a day or two then you should call the dr about doing the blood test. good luck!

  2. You may get a positive reading but I think it would be more likely for you to get a false negative at this point. You are better off to wait until at least the day of your missed period. Good luck.

  3. A pregnancy test measures a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG). HCG is a hormone produced during pregnancy. It appears in the blood and urine of pregnant women as early as 10 days after conception.

So I would think it would NOT be to soon for a test but for more info go to the site i found for ya and it will go into more details.
