  1. There are student debt consolidation program out there which you can try if you want. They can help you to pay off  your debts by providing you with a repayment plan. And would also negotiate with your creditors to reduce your debts.

Here is the source of a debt consolidation company named http://ezconsolidation.com for your reference.

  2. First get with the medical debt companies and explain your situation. Make sure you are making some kind of payment even if it is a small amount.

Ask your parents if they can pay so much per month to get the bill paid down. Work out a repayment schedule and then reimburse your parents later.

Most apartments want a score around at least 620. To get your score up make sure you make all your payments on time. If you have a credit card always pay a little more than the minimum payment and never reach your maximum limit. To get your score up the medical bills need to show you are paying and on time. Try to have at least three open lines of credit and that they are paid on time. That will raise your score.

You are allowed a short comment on your credit report so have them add that you are a student and working part-time to pay off the debt. It will help sometimes.

Otherwise I agree with the other posting about taking a semester or two off get a full-time job and pay it off.

  3. I recommend you call a local credit restoration company. http://www.tipstoimprovecredit.com They should have some programs for you.

  4. What if you quit school for one semester, got a full time job, and continued to live like a broke college student?

Then, you can go back to school in the Spring 09 semester with some cash.
