  1. It's easy to demonstrate how warmer weather has resulted in the Pine Beetle eating and killing MILLIONS OF ACRES of forests in north-central British Columbia.

Previously, the beetle was confined to warmer southern areas. If there are even a few days of -40F weather, it kills off the beetles in that area, and that limits their range. Ten years ago, that weather was normal in most of BC. Not any more.  Only a couple of hundred miles south of here, most if not all pine trees are DEAD, probably forever.  Flying over forests that used to be all green, one now sees as much red (dead or dying trees) as green.

What the animals that were living in the forests will be eating is any body's guess, I'd think.

  2. Absolutely....my dog does not eat as much in the summer as he does the winter.Same goes with stress...if a dog is stressed,he/she will not have much of an appetite.

  3. It seems logical, based on the fact that it affects people that way.
