Duke Box Melody to show majestic work in Romforddogs.com Stayers at Romford
Duke Box Melody is in sublime form at the moment, and could easily stamp his opponents in Romforddogs.com Stayers, scheduled to be held at Romford on Friday, February 08, 2013.
P. Young’s trainee resumed his Romford campaign on a winning note. The black dog faced an awful loss at Hove on January 10th. An early mess dented his chances significantly.
It was a terrible defeat, but the dashing hound quickly regained his momentum. On January 22nd, the son of Head Bound defeated Fabulous Val by a short head’s distance. His second consecutive victory was even more comprehensive.
On January 29th, the May-10 hound captured the first rank by six and a half length. He continued his wonderful work, and completed the hat-trick at the start of this month. He always led the proceedings, and claimed the first place easily by five and a half lengths.
Having registered three consecutive wins, the maverick hound is full of spirit. So, it will be very difficult for the rest of the pack to challenge him. Among the rivals are:
Springdale Hawk, Adageo Brae, Head Iton Tom, Balmi Blue, and Rebellious Mary. The race will be run over a distance of 575 metres. The officials are due to kick off the proceedings at 22:40 GMT. The winner will leave the field with a handy prize of 175 pounds.
Head Iton Tom is a capable sort, but going through a lean patch at the moment. The white and fawn dog shows best only when able to dictate matters. Despite a handy draw, E. Gaskin’s trainee does not make any appeal.
Springdale Hawk cannot pick any holes in the recent form. Adageo Brae, the Coronation Cup finalist, does not win races on constant basis. In his previous race, M. Wallis’ charge was fifth on the table.
Rebellious Mary becomes a game sort when she does get on the bunny. Prior to her third place, the black hound won a S1 event. Balmi Blue’s recent performances were below par, and despite a favourable draw, the D. Mullins-trained is unlikely to challenge the rest. We wish the best of luck to all the contenders.
