Duke Of Aricabeau expected to shine in Leopardstown Racecourse Members Stakes (Handicap)
Duke Of Aricabeau is likely to be strong in the Leopardstown Racecourse Members Stakes (Handicap) at Goodwood in England on Friday, August 24, 2012. He has got very good speed and will definitely be aiming to claim the cash prize of £3,235 from the class-5
event. He will have to beat six other participants in order to achieve this feat.
The going has been described as good in the 5 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 19:50 GMT. None of the participants seems to be in dominant form right now, which will make the competition quite interesting in the end.
Looking at the record of all runners, the bookmakers expect a three way battle between Sandfrankskipsgo, Welease Bwian and Duke Of Aricabeau. All three of them have managed to win just once, which will make it hard for the punters to choose their favourite.
However, the latter of the above three participants seems to have the best chance of winning the race, as he will like the conditions at Goodwood. He has been given a general starting price of 5 to 2 by the bookmakers and the punters will also be looking
to place a lot of bets on him.
The three-year-old gelding has participated in 10 races, winning just one of them, which shows that he does not have a very good strike rate. Despite that, his overall performances have not been bad, which will give a lot of hope to his fans.
Other than his one victory, the Mrs K. Burke’s trainee has ended up third on the same number of times whereas finished as a runner up on a couple of occasions.
The Irish runner started off his career in 2011, but was unable to catch the attention of anyone. He ended the season on a positive note though, finishing as a runner up in his last outing that year.
Things worked out positively for Duke Of Aricabeau in the 2012 season, as he gave better performances during this time period. He brought up his maiden victory in June and delivered a very good result last time around, securing the second position. Young
jockey, Raul Da Silva, will be partnering him for the first time in his career at Goodwood.
