Duke of Clarence favourite for Stay at the Wolverhampton Holiday Inn Median Auction Maiden Stakes
Duke Of Clarence is rated as favourite for the Stay at the Wolverhampton Holiday Inn Median Auction Maiden Stakes in England on Monday, February 27, 2012. The cash prize for the triumphant horse is £2,264.
The 1 mile 141 yards class-5 race has attracted seven runners and their names are: Duke Of Clarence, Bint Alzain, Kudoz, Green Mitas, Kool Shuffle, Delightful Sleep and Idarose.
Duke Of Clarence has not been able to win any race out of his three starts. However, he has the potential to finish on top of the table, as he ended as runner up in only his third outing last year.
The three-year-old colt, trained by Richard Hannon, will be partnered by Kieran O'Neill, who has got a pretty decent record. He will be looking to make it even better by guiding his horse to victory.
Another runner, who has managed to earn the confidence of the bookmakers, is Bint Alzain. He made his debut in the sport last month and was quite impressive back then, finishing third overall.
The three-year-old filly finished just half a length short of the runner up, but that indicated that she had the potential of making a strong impact in future events.
Bint Alzain, trained by Gerard Butler, will be partnered by seasoned jockey, Luke Morris. He has got plenty of experience in horseracing and will be looking forward to making most of it today.
There is also a chance for Kool Shuffle to bring up his maiden victory in horseracing. He has taken part in seven races so far, winning none. His best result was a third place finish, which indicates that he does have the potential to challenge the front
runners.
The four-year-old gelding, trained by Tony Coyle, will be ridden by young jockey, Brian Toomey. He is relatively new to the sport and is aiming to make a name for himself. A victory will be good for his confidence today.
The rest of the runners do not really seem to have a good chance today. A couple of them will be taking part in their first race today, so it will be quite interesting to see their performance.
Considering the stats and recent forms of all the seven runners, Duke Of Clarence has got a decent chance of finishing on top.
