Real Valladolid coach, Miroslav Dukic, was pleased with his team’s performance after their rare 2-1 away win over Sevilla on Monday night.
Valladolid became the second team in the Primera Division this season after http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&tbo=d&biw=1280&bih=637&q=estadio+ramon+sanchez+pizjuan+seville&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAAAGOovnz8BQMDAy8HsxKnfq6-gUVhoUnhUulvZaxVJd3OfZG2t2UfH9jY57ILALJvfnEqAAAA&sa=X&ei=XuW9UIWRBIqe8QSWkYHABw&ved=0CI0BEJsTKAA
Two early goals from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oscar-c28720 Gonzalez were enough to give them a rare away win against Sevilla.
Still the Valladolid boss believes his team can do more and thinks there is more room for improvement. He feels that his side is improving as a team and recognizes the road ahead of them is one that is long.
“My team is still growing and improving, but always with humility because so far we have achieved nothing and this League has much to go, the Serbian coach explained.”
Reflecting on the victory over the Andalusians on their home turn, the Serbian tactician thinks his players had a terrific first-half.
“I think we played a very good first half.”
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 defender remarked on the fact that his side could not dominate the game despite their numerical advantage on the field. He revealed the same thing has happened to them before. Regardless, he is pleased with the outcome of the match.
“When they have been down to 10 men we have not dominated the ball and that has happened to us several times away from home and Sevilla had the quality to score, but I am happy with the work of the players, they have worked hard.”
Even though the hosts were down to ten men, they didn’t allow Valladolid to control the game and the 46-year-old has conceded that it was not an easy task for them to come away with all the points and admitted that his opponents were a tough nut to crack.
“We have won in a difficult field; they are a difficult team to beat.”
Their back-to-back wins in the Primera Division has enabled them to climb the table.
They are currently sitting on the 7th position in the table standings and just four points behind fourth-placed Real Betis.
