Dumb PAL question

Question

What problems am I going to encounter by buying a NTSC cam in the US and then coming back to italy for 6 months to use it. Apple to FCP to DVD and then what? Simply I won be able to view the DVD on a european DVD pLayer? Don't a lot of the new players have the region code option anyway.
