  1. He would withdraw the troops and attack Russia.

  2. he would do some real butt kicking! RUSSIA YOU'RE NEXT!

  3. He would do nothing because his tactics and strategy are obsolete in an asymmetric war like that in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was a superb armored commander.

  4. Will not work in different time zone.

    John.8.44

    Matt 23.27

    Luke 9.25,55-56,60

    Luke 6.39-40,41-45,46-49

    Matt 22.32

    What do you think?

  5. He would send his cousin Chesty Puller to do the job!

  6. I think he would have befriended some of the locals which would have eased some of the tension in Iraq.

  7. General Patton was a great expert at a certain kind of warfare.  Sadly we haven't done that kind of warfare since WWII.  Since WWII we have prepared for the next WWII, but it never came.  Instead we have small wars in small countries where big, elaborate weapons systems, air superiority, etc. don't help us.  We aren't fighting to save Iraq from a big, well-equipped international aggressor, WE are the aggressor.  We aren't against a well-trained professional army in Iraq, we are fighting against the people themselves.  Patton was a master of tank warfare but tanks are useless in this war.  Vietnam was the same.  Korea was the same.  In fact most wars since WWII were like this.

Patton would probably have advised Bush not to invade Iraq in the first place.  All his real military experts did, but he didn't listen to them.  So Patton would either decide to do the best with what he had, or else he would have quit in disgust and maybe written a tell-all book.

  8. hey would "fallujah" the whole damnn place (send it further back into the stone age)

  9. FIRST.....Patton was a "conventional" war general.....Iraq is an "unconventional" war..... I doubt Patton would have the patience or knowledge to fight the war effectively.... "unconventional" wars are fought DIFFERENT that conventional.....use totally different tactics......more troops and an increase in violent response is NOT a winning strategy...... The "surge" was not about more troops......it was about a different strategy ..... a counter insurgency / counter terror strategy

SECOND....The war in Iraq is almost concluded....we have met most of our phase guidelines..... instead of importing troop.....we will soon be shifting the troops to Afghanistan

THIRD.... Afghanistan is the "quagmire".... that will be a harder war than Iraq ever thought of being.....MUCH more difficult

FOURTH.... Patton was a great general .....effective in his time ;but this new type of warfare was not his forte.... I would expect he would obey orders... but from his history I doubt he would have enjoyed or been effective in this new age type warfare

  10. Nuke them from orbit, its the only way.

  11. He would wonder why we are soo stubbornly siding with a tiny little nation with no resources, that does not even take democracy seriously, while we face a energy crisis and are trying to "blow up" all the countries with the energy we need (then store it away to hike the prices). I think he would tell us to ignore them and try to win back some of the old friends we pissed off in the past 60 years. He is saying something, Patton is turning in his grave.
