    Sipsey Wilderness

This is by far one of the beautiful places on earth.  The water quality, the green in the Spring, the colors in the Fall are second to none.  This is the ultimate outdoor experience and everyone should take a trip to the Sipsey Fork River in the Sipsey Wilderness area on Bankhead National Forest.   This area is known as the land of 1000 waterfalls and it doesn't disappoint.  There are waterfalls everywhere and picturesque campsites that run along side of the stream.  This is a class 1-II overnight canoe camping adventure.  Unfortunately, this is a very rainfall dependant run and only runs when it runs, so if you want to go you need to be ready to go.  There will be a scheduled date, but it could change based on water levels.
