Although, Katich still has some complaints against the Chairman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/James-Peter-Hewitt-c66001 in the longer version of the game.
"I certainly don't hold any grudges against him. It's not (Phil's) fault. He deserves to play for Australia and he was probably unfairly dropped himself during the Ashes in '09. He hadn't done too much wrong. It was a pretty tough
call on him then but he's obviously bounced back from that,” said Katich.
He further admired Hughes’s skills and appetite for runs, saying that the 22-year-old holds all the potential to do well at the highest level of cricket.
He, however, advised his successor to rub the sour memories of the past out of his mind and focus on the game, before adding that every cricketer faces lean patches during his career and only good cricketers come out with an even
stronger temperament.
"He knows how to make runs. He knows how to make big scores. He's already made 16 first-class hundreds, which is no mean feat for a player of his age. Phil works hard and he's a good kid," added the 36-year-old left-hander who
claimed to have been enjoying his cricket with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-South-Wales-c823.
Furthermore, Katich saw some irony in Hilditch being fired, saying that the guys who hurled him out of the national scene a couple of months ago, have now been given the flick.
Katich meanwhile, aimed to keep working hard and not to lose hope, expressing his belief that there is still some cricket left in his career.
