The newly appointed Indian cricket team's coach, Duncan Fletcher, has expressed full confidence in the World Cup winner Indian skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The coach, who strictly believes on division of labour between captain and coach, thinks that Dhoni
has potential and skills to lead the World’s top ranked Test and second ranked ODI side.
Fletcher writes in his book, “I have studied Dhoni closely over the years, and these days I am impressed with every single aspects of what he does.” He further elaborates, “As a captain he has great gift of being proactive rather than reactive in his decision-making.”
It was Dhoni’s meticulous and marvellous leadership that led http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 to claim the World Cup Trophy for the second time after 1983. India is honoured to be the first hosting nation to become the World Champion. Dhoni is now leading Chennai Super Kings in the
ongoing IPL-4 season.

Fletcher has his own theory of coaching. He believes that the responsibilities of coach and captain differ a lot, as captain is an on-field incharge while coach has to manage off-field matters. He argues that a sensible and skilled skipper shares a great
part of coach’s burden.
He hopes that Dhoni will come up to his caliber and collaborate with him to embolden the side more.
Fletcher’s coaching career is evident of the fact that the legend had always been in good terms with his captains. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nasser-Hussain-c78777, a former English skipper who worked under Fletcher, says, “A genius in technique, both of his own and opposing players, and
manages to work out opponents and conditions better than anyone else I have known in the game.”
Some analysts suggest that coaching Team India is always a big challenge for every coach and especially for the foreign one. But Fletcher is confident of his skills and Team India that is well-composed and in-form.
