Duncan Fletcher joins New Zealand in consultant role
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 side in India as a consultant of the side. While the exact role was not revealed apart from being named the consultant, the New Zealand cricketer did say he
was recruited in order to "keep the environment fresh" within the team.

Fletcher has a fine resume behind him. He was the captain of the Zimbabwean cricket team when they played their first ever ODI in 1983, and it was his all-round effort with the bat and the ball that helped the side win their first ever game against the Aussies
that year. He later retired and took up coaching and was appointed the head-coach of the English side. He went on to forge a fighting English unit and guided them to their first Ashes win in 2005, in 17 years.

After ending his role with England, he went on to become a consultant for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hampshire-c789.

New Zealand is currently scarred from their successive defeats in the ODI format, having lost to Bangladesh 0-4 before going down to a relatively second-string Indian team in the first ODI at Guwahati. Fletcher will be in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 from November 29 and remain with
the side through the entire duration of the series.

New Zealand Cricket’s high performance manager, Roger Mortimer said, "Duncan is a highly regarded coach and we are looking forward to having someone with his cricketing knowledge engage with the team. Part of my role is to work with the coaching unit to provide
the best environment for growth and development of the team. This includes tapping into the knowledge available from world class cricket experts. We've had a number of specialists come in and work with the unit or individual players and it's proven to be really
beneficial."

A lot will be expected out of Fletcher given that the World Cup is only a couple of months away and will be played on tracks which are very similar to those in India and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747.
