The hosts were below par in their innings though, as they were bowled out for 134 runs in their outing. The pitch was still good for batting, but the batsmen had to apply themselves to get big runs. The ball was not coming onto the bat at an even pace and bounce, which made things a touch difficult for Hampshire.
