But I had a can of coke left in the house and when I came back it was almost empty. Where did it go? It couldn't have evaporated because there was no hole in the can. I know there was no hole because I shook it up alot and there was no leak. So can anyone put an end to this mystery??

  1. hmmm... really puzzling, don't rightly know. maybe the can was fully immersed in something really hot and the liquid evaporated through tiny perforations in the can somewhere? i dunno

  2. Someone drank it.

  3. There had to have been a hole in the can...

If there was no hole then there would be no possible way for coke to leave the can.  But, you claim that coke left the can.  So, there must have been a hole of some kind.

If by "I shook it up and there was no leak" you mean that you shook the can and you didn't hear the resulting pressure escape: that could be because the can was almost empty and shaking it didn't release much CO2, so you wouldn't actually hear it escape.
