I'm very out of shape and I joined track and when we sprint on the last few I sometimes can't make it through the whole sprint and have to walk. If I could manage it, would the coaches prefer me to slowly jog as much as I can or just walk when I can't run anymore?

  1. Try not to walk. dont give up. If you think you can do it, you probobly can. You are capable of running faster and farther then you think, trust me.

  2. I would prefer that the athlete try to maintain the same speed and if there is anything left at the end, try to kick it in to the finish.  This is how races are run and how you should practice.  Your coach should be helping you with what times you should be running for the different distances, and for the type of workout (are you working on sprint speeds or endurance runs).  This is especially true for sprint workouts.

    Good Luck!

  3. defanetly jog slow

  4. You are supposed to run then jog if you have to. Try to run the as much as possible.

  5. sprint the most you can then jog the rest never walk it they hate that
