  1. yes its ok to use it!

  2. NO!!!!! I had a cousin, and he was outside, and he was on his cellphone, and it was like totally raining and thundering outside and then he went in his car and there was traffic and he got out and he totally go hit by lightning! but it really wasnt him, it was like his friend!

Don't be stupid. There is no chance that your cellphone receiving and transmitting cellular frequencies is going to make you more likely to get hit by lightning.

  3. I've been an electronics tech, network engineer, ham radio operator, telephone field systems tech, for over 35 years and I have never heard of anyone being hit by lightening while on the phone or on the radio.

Yes, lightening is dangerous andif it is going to hit something there aint a h3ll of a lot you can do about it.

The only ONLY way that a cell phone user could be hit is if they are the highest point in the surronding area... lightening seeks the nearest ground, and if someone is standing in the open, they are the highest, if they are under a tree, the tree is highest, but being under a tree is not a wise move too.

Something that "they" do not tell you... there are protectors on your phone line at the house, and other places down the line to the central office. These are made to short to ground on transients.

  4. no way the weather has funny ways, so please don't call till lightning is far a way.

  5. Supposedly not but it's only a small chance something bad will happen. I read using a cordless or mobile phone indoors is safe though.

  6. No. In school we had to watch a movie about lightning. There was this guy who was talking on the phone during a thunderstorm and he got struck by lightning and died, they showed what was left of his phone.

Well, I guess it depends on how bad the storm is, really.

I mean if our phone rang during a thunderstorm, I'd probably pick it up, unless, of course,  it was a really, really bad storm.

  7. Only if you are on your roof holding a metal baseball bat straight up in the air.
