During pregnancy, if you get a sunburn at the beach, is it bad for the baby?

I know all sunburns are bad, but can they affect the baby while you are pregnant?

  1. I dont think so, so far everytime i have gone to the beach i have goten sunburnt a little this has only happenes since i got pregnant iam 33weeks but he has been okay he gets a little fussy feeling and anoyed when im at the beach seems to kick and move alot probly because the hott so i just keep a towel over my tummy when i tan.


  2. I read somewhere that this could overheat the baby..or cause jaundice. Its probably best to play it safe and aviod a lot of sun exposure.  

  3. Not the sunburn in itself but getting too hot can be very bad for the baby. My aunt lost a baby that way.

  5. I don't think it will hurt the baby.  It justs makes it more uncomfortable for you.

  6. The sunburn won't but raising your body temperature too much can.  

  7. ya..well you're supposidly suppposed to stay out of the sun because the sun can fry your baby!

  8. I asked my doctor the same thing after I got a horrible sunburn he said the baby would be fine just dont let yourself get to hot!!
