During the Katrina aftermath, what constitutional rights...?

were being violated by law enforcement officials. I know that police and others played a vital role in rescue and maintaining law and order but I also think that they may have taken things a bit too far. How can the police justify that kind of behavior? Will law abiding citizens tolerate this again in the future? If any law enforcement people out there can provide some feedback I would love to here it. Thanks.
