Figuratively Palin will be the baton twirler in the sense that her mind will have to run as fast as her baton in order to keep up the debate with Biden. It will be almost impossible because he has lots of experience and she next to none

if by statesman you mean able to plagarize socialist speeches from canada, yea biden would be good.  Being that Palin is a hunter who is probably more athletic than even "the one" I would go for that too

Perhaps will demonstrate the proper technique to outsource jobs to foreign companies (such as alaskan gas pipeline to Canadian firms), and how to destroy animal habitats for profit (such as ANWR), and fire people who offer sound economic advice...not that republicans ever found sound economic advice useful.
