  1. The coaches were unhappy with gail munroes performance to the point that they wanted her removed from the team.  They atleast had a sub on the side to stand in and the 2nd player stood up to skip.

  2. The Scottish team coach(es) was disappointed with how the team was playing, so they made the decision to ask the skip (Gail Munro) to sit out,   Munro accepted it, but her third wasn't happy with the plan, and she refused to play without the team's skip.

    So the remaining three players (the normal lead and second plus the alternate), were left to play the final two games with just three.
