  1. He will get them they will just re-route to his AIT. But it will take a while

  2. hey girl! my bf hasn't called me yet this week, but i talked to someone else whose bf went thru basic as well & she advised me not to send anymore a week before he graduates .. just in case! :-) maybe still write, but keep them & give them to him to read on the plane on his way to AIT :-) is yours graduating next friday as well??

  3. if he in the marines no he cant they will keep it tell he get done with the 3rd or 4th week

  4. He can receive it... if it gets there in time.

Not sure about the Army, but if it''s anything like the Navy, they'll likely forward it to his next duty station if it doesn't get to him before he leaves.

It's illegal to "just throw away" the U.S. mail... even for the military

  5. Any mail that arrives after he leaves Basic, will be forwarded to his next duty assignment.  Part of inprocessing and outprocessing is stopping by the mailroom and leaving a copy of your orders so they know where to forward your mail.

His "sarge" won't keep any of his mail, as mail is considered government property and it's a Federal crime to temper with it.
