I'm a Yank, and I love Rugby. I played a couple games in school--it's awesome!

Soooo... My pal who is British said that his Dad is a rugger in the UK, and my pal remembered his Dad and his m8s getting loopy and doing the EW.

The story was hilarious, but does this really happen? I'm not hatin', just amusedly curious.

Cheers from the Colonies!

PS--It involves being nekkid and drunk and one elephant holds the trunk of the elephant in front of him thru his legs and the line forms and everyone tries to walk and they're falling all over the place and laughing like crazy people. LOL!

  1. Never done that. I have done the dance of the flaming arseh0les, which involves getting pissed, rolling up a newspaper which goes 'twixt your butt cheeks then set on fire. you have to make it round a makeshift assault course without burning your ring.

  2. I played Rugy for seven years in D.C and we never did the Elepahnt walk, it sounds like something we would of done if we knew about it. I would do it but I know some that would of at the party after the match. We had toilet paper races when two men stand on a chair with their but exposed. Then put about five feet of toilet paper hanging from the but and lite it of fire, who ever jumps looses.

  3. no it sounds like the most homoerotic bunch of "butch rugger buggers in the closet" nonsense that i ever did hear

  4. I had the distinct pleasure of playing rugby with the Brits on the NATO Lions for four years.  While I've never done the Elephant Walk during the 3rd half, though we HAVE done the full version of "Father Abraham" for a very surprised team in Orvieto Italy.

  5. nah sounds like a homo party on thanx

  6. From your description that sounds like something that the boys down south would enjoy.

  7. No, I've never done that either.

  8. I've never even heard of it.

  9. I play in South Carolina now- and havent seen it here but 15 years ago i started playing in New York and definitely have seen the elephant walk occur...(usually a rookie event) Also Father Abraham is a very popular song everywhere i've ever played rugby.  I've always been around guys who love to get naked- not sure why- its a whole thing with being drunk and it being cold out... its just not that attractive!  Pitcha  tent tourney in knoxville TN is probably the most naked tourney i've ever been at... you basically put up a tent in a farmer's field and have a great drinking/ rugby weekend... theres always nudity and craziness though- and if gets hot... then theres always your tent or his!  very good times.  I have heard of co-ed naked midnight rugby.  not sure where or when though!
