I am going to Alaska on a cruise, I heard there will only be like 2 or 4 hours of sunlight during the summer. What time is that?

  1. You heard wrong, I'm guessing that you are taking a cruise that will take you to either the port of Seward, or Whittier then you will take a train or bus into Anchorage.  Anyway during the summer in those areas the sun is up in the sky from about 3:30am till right around midnight, leaving you with about 3-5 hours of twilight type darkness, so you can enjoy around 20 hours of sunlight.  But during the winter in that area you will only see about 5.5hours of sunlight.  Enjoy your cruise!

  2. I had to do a report on that i think at 4:00 here it is about eight there.

  3. My son lives in Fairbanks Alaska.  The daylight stays out about 20 hours a day in the Summer and the opposite in the Winter.  He has been building a house there and has been able to work until nearly 11pm.

BTW- I took an Alaska cruise four years ago.  Email me if you wish.  It was GREAT!

  4. Evening happens at the end of every day here in Alaska just as it does everyplace else. Evening starts at 6:00pm and lasts to 6:00am. Welcome to Alaska. Enjoy your stay.
