During weekend -has anybody got passport renewal done at INDIAN consulate-Houston,TX.?

I submitted application for passport renewal a month ago, I already have bought tkts to go to Canada on april 5th, for US Visa, and i haven't heard anything from the consulate yet,

wanted to know if anybody got their passport renewal during sat or sunday. I live in San Antonio,TX.

Nobody answers the phone at the consulate- been trying for last 7 days.

Consulates are notoriously slow.  The people there are off 3 days a week and take 4 hour lunches on the days they are there.  You shouldn't have bought tickets yet..
