During what era of history did Emilia Pardo Bazan live?

I have to do a report for my AP Spanish Literature class and I need to do it on the author Emilia Pardo Bazan. Unfortunately, I do not know during which era in history she was writing and what insipired her to write her stories. I've done some research and don't seem to have any luck. Please help...

She did most of her writing during the latter part of the 19th century .  What inspired her was probably the woman's suffrage movement that was going on worldwide.  She seams to be the first in Spain to instigate it. . .
