Durrow Abbie to retain form for the Deal Of The Month A5 525 Final
In pursuit of the €500 prize money of the Grade A5 Deal Of The Month A5 525 Final are Quarterland Andy, Highview Blaze, Walk On Luis, Drumcrow Genie, Call Later and Durrow Abbie. The finalists will race over 525 yards flat on Thursday, 18th October,
2012 at Shelbourne Park. Every entry is familiar with the level that they have to race at tonight.
One of the most endearing entries for the final contest is the year-old brindle b***h, Durrow Abbie. The very lightly raced has proved herself by being the finalist just after four races. The connections made a hasty decision of sending her straight into
the open level, rather than giving her a chance to grow familiar with the racing approaches and tactics.
Crash’s daughter was drilled as she entered the racing career. Breaking from the fifth trap, she concluded the 361 yards track distance in 18.99 seconds.
Her initial high speed and then fading towards the decisive lengths of the race, cost her the first two outings.
The ranking of the brindle b***h improved the third time that she took on a race track. She ran from the second trap and then stumbled, following the consequences of an unsteady start, she had to check the level of competition when racing second.
Missing the winning spot by 3 ½ lengths, she settled third while the race was won by, Home Alice.
The year-old out of, Doonalley June, then claimed the €50 prize money of the Grade A5 Deal Of The Month A5 525 Semi-Final on 11th October, 2012 at Shelbourne Park over 525 yards.
Racing out in black and white vest, she was quick to maintain a safe distance from the rest of the lot, and keeping a firm grip on the lead had her on the other end of the wire in 28.99 seconds.
The three lengths that favoured her, shoved Walk On Luis in the second position, while coming at terms with the third ranking was, Spanish Diva.
The 7 to 2 shot for the race has drawn the same trap from which she won the last time. She will need to look out for the favourite of the race, Drumcrow Genie.
