Dust allergy questions?

When I was a kid I had dust allergy and I took 2 shots a week for a month and then it was gone, but today I read that allergies can't be cured. So:

1. Did I have an allergy or not? I really don't know what to believe.

And if i did...

2.Can I become allergic again? How?

  1. You can outgrow allergies, and also be desensitized to them.  If you were given allergy shots then you were allergic.  Outgrowing allergies is your immune system not being triggered for long enough that the immune cells primed for the response have died off.

Yes, you can become allergic again through exposure sensitizing your immune system.  It's also possible that you'll never have a problem.
