A brace from Ola Toivonen and further goals from Tim Matavz, Georginio Wijnaldum and Marcelo secured all three points for the Eindhoven giants.

After conceding three goals at a high pace, the Heerenveen outfit slowed things down on the pitch and tried to crawl their way back into the match. However, they failed to pierce the solid PSV back-line. At the half-time interval, the Eindhoven giants were
leading the match 3-0.
