Dutch Supreme set to show A-game in Climate Energy Group Handicap at Newmarket
An improved effort is expected from Dutch Supreme in the Climate Energy Group Handicap, being held at Newmarket on Thursday, August 16th. David Lanigan’s charge has not won a handicap yet, but he hasn’t run a bad race either.
He was pretty impressive on his last trip. The spectators at Sandown saw him missing the gold medal by half a length in the Totepool Mobile Text "tote" To 89660 Handicap.
The 100-30 favourite led early on, but failed to continue the good work. Stirring Ballad outpaced him inside the final 75 yards, and took the game away in the dying moments.
After a fine act, the 3-year-old is in very good shape, and looks to be in a great position to come up with a tremendous job in today’s class 2 meeting. There are eight speedy runners, aiming for a handsome cash prize worth £10,350. The 7-furlong meeting is going to be kicked off at 16:20 GMT.
Diala has not yet replicated what he did as 2-year-old last season. After locking the runner-up spot on her debut, the William Haggas-trained raised her game to ensure the top spot at Newmarket. She has not yet done anything special so far this season, and looked rusty on last few occasions.
Luck is also not on her side these days, as she missed the podium only by a neck’s distance in the Norman Court Stud Fillies' Handicap at Royal Ascot. Her supporters don’t need to get worried, because the filly is in better position than last time.
I´m So Glad can give another good account. Winning three of last four races shows how good form she is in. At the end of last month, Mick Channon’s trainee surprised the 11-4 favourite, Riot Of Colour, in the Boylesports.com Free Phone Betting 0800 440000 Fillies' Stakes (Handicap). The conditions are quite similar and therefore, her connections can hope for another positive outcome.
A dramatic clash between I´m So Glad and Dutch Supreme is on the cards. It can pay to side with the latter runner, who is looking quite solid at the moment. Good luck to all the runners.
