Duties of a God-Parents, like to know duties/role during a traditional sweet sixteen for our god daughter?

well get her a nice gift, or get together with her parents and get her a nice car! i would love if my parents and god parents did it for me! ;)

We Italians hold this very high. Godparents means just as much to blood family with us, and even more. It is the highest honor.

For 16 I would see if she drives, maybe buy a used car if I could.

If not that then a really nice bracelete with her name on it.

I don't know your budget so it;s hard to say. When my sister turned 16 her Godparents got her a car. When I turned 21

I got a trip to Italy from my Godparents, along with spending money of over $2000.

Ask her parents what she wants. Decide what you want to spend and that way you'll know she'll like it. You can also get her a crasage if her parents aren't getting her one. Or bring a single red rose.

Traditionally, there are two roles for godparents.  In the catholic faith (and other christian religions), the major role is to guide the child's religious education and ensure the child has an active role in the church.  In other traditions, it is to be responsible for the child if something happened to the parents.

Today, the title of Godparent is usually just an honor with no specific duties or roles, except of course, a special relationship with the child.  

I don't think there are any specific duties or roles associated with a sweet sixteen party, but if you think there might be, ask the child's parents what they expect from you.
