The newly appointed technical director ruled himself out for the role of German national team head coach and insisted that he wants to work with Joachim Low.
German Football Federation (DFB) technical director Robin Dutt has quelled speculation to take over from Joachim Low as national team coach in the near future. The former Bayer Leverkusen boss suggested that he shares the same
vision as Low and wants to work alongside him on a new school of thought.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Freiburg-c40462 manager recently took over the position of director on the board and replaced Matthias Sammer, who left for Bayern Munich. Low’s future has been rumoured to be under threat after the humiliating semi-final
defeat at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 in 2012 European Championships.
Dutt has denied that he will take charge of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 from the current manager. He claimed that he is enjoying his new position of technical director and insists his contract does not specify a coaching agreement. He also added that
he will not engage on the future of his team’s coach but wishes for him to stay for a long duration.
"There is not a coaching clause in my contract, I am a technical director and I am looking forward to this exciting task. You cannot expect me to speculate on Low's future without any reason. I hope that he will remain our coach
for a long time,” he stated.
The board member said that he talked with Low and came to know that they both share the same vision on footballing ideas and wanted the same methods from the Under-15 youth teams to the national side.
"We spoke on the phone and we found out that we share the same ideas about how football should be played. We want a unified system from the Under-15 team to the senior team,” he was quoted saying in an interview.
The former coach stressed that there is no way http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Ballack-c25270 substituting Low as the earlier does not have a coaching badge. Dutt expressed his surprise at the call to work at the association after being unemployed since April.
"I was surprised when I got the call from [DFB secretary general] Helmut Sandrock,” he concluded.
Dutt has been unimpressive as a coach and was sacked from Leverkusen after a poor run of form.
