Duty Free on entering Australia?

Question

I'm travelling from the UK to Perth via Singapore.With the new security on liquids can I still take duty free alcohol from Singapore into Perth or do I have to buy at the Perth Duty Free on arrival there?

Into Australia

Per Adult:

Up to 2,250ml of alcohol (total)

One carton of 250 cigarettes or 250g of loose tobacco, plus one opened packet (containing up to 25 sticks)

Up to AUD900 worth of personal goods (AUD450 for minors).

My daughter holidayed in Thailand & her sister in hong Kong. When re-entering Australia they brought cigarettes & were mad when they discovered their husbands could also have brought in the same amount(neither husband smokes) They thought that it was per family, not per adult. lol I don't think either brought in alcohol, but were restricted to small amounts of perfume etc.
