I'm travelling from Ireland to Spain and back next week, would anyone know how much 200 cigarettes would cost in Duty Free? Thanks in advance!

  1. Whereabouts in Spain?   (Just that I think the rules are different for the Canaries, and maybe the Balearics).   Depends what brand you want as well.   My husband buys a brand called Ducados which are about 16 euros for 200 - but known brands will probably be more.

  2. tut tut tut smoking causes cancer

  3. Did a day trip to France a couple of weeks ago and 200 B&H was £37.50 in duty free if that helps.

  4. The Official Tobacco List shows the current prices as -

    Dunhill - 34 euros.

    Rothman - 32 euros.

Benson & Hedges, Embassy No.1, Silk Cut, Regal - 31 euros.

    Superkings & Berkeley - 30 euros.

    Lambert & Butler - 29.50 euros.

    Dorchester - 27.50 euros.

    Mayfair - 25 euros.

    Richmond - 24.50 euros.

John Players Black, Royals & Sovereign - 23 euros

Make sure you purchase your cigarettes from the Official Tobacco Stores (Tabacos) where, under Government supervision, all the prices are the same.

If you are going to the Canary Islands, they are cheaper than this but, officially, you are only allowed 200, unlike mainland Spain where there is no limit, within reasonable bounds, and you can prove, if asked, that they are all for you.
